red

roses are red.
and so are a few of my favorite color things.....


a reupholstered chaise lounge
a warm red cardigan
raggedy ann
 my dad's old wooden chair, with a bit of paint
 small pot for morning oatmeal
 a no longer used house key
a repainted dutch cupboard
an iPad clutch
my had for years small wallet
 the clicker to quiet the students, instead of raising my voice
a radio flyer wagon, used to hold returning school books on library day
  the word FAMILY

    I love the chaise lounge. The large gingham look is bold, yet very tasteful. Did you reupholster the chair? Refinishing furniture and reupholstering old furniture were my hobbies many years ago. I love things like that! Makes me want to go find something in a thrift store to refinish or reupholster...LOL.

      darlene, when i took the chaise in to be redone.. they weren't too sure about the red gingham.. but i was certain... in the end, even they loved it. thought it was a good choice.... i love the chaise, too. is it hard to reupholster? seems like it would be.

    Red and pink are my two favorite colors. Wonderful images, btw, Good eye. The chair is an inviting sit.. with a nice cup of tea, a good book, what could be finer?
